Naples, Rione Traiano. During the summer of 2014, a 16-year-old young man, Davide, was killed by a carabiniere who mistook him for a fugitive.
Davide had never had any problems with justice. As many other adolescents born in those tough neighbourhoods, he had left school and dreamed of becoming a football player.
Alessandro and Pietro are 16 years old and live in Rione Traiano too. They are close friends, very different and at the same time complementary, and live just a few metres away from each other, only separated by Viale Traiano where Davide was killed. Alessandro and Pietro accepted the director’s proposal to film themselves using his iPhone in order to tell first-hand their daily life, their friendship, the empty neighbourhood during the summer and the tragedy of Davide.
A film entirely made of gazes, showing how in the eyes of the two young men the Rione looks like a paraphrase of Leopardi’s Infinito.
