Free screenings for middle schools

The Bellaria Film Festival’s first announcement is aimed at 11 to 14 year olds from local middle schools. The BFF offers all middle school classes a free creative workshop “Explorations”.

Every morning, from 10 to 12 May, at the Cinema Teatro Astra, films dedicated to teen audiences will be screened, accompanied by a workshop focusing on the work of the film critic.

Yaya and Lennie – The Walking Liberty is the first film announced in this section, an animated work by Alessandro Rak.

Synopsis

Following an environmental disaster, the world we know is no longer there. Nature has taken back the planet and now the cities and  the jungle covers the whole earth.

Yaya, a girl with an untamed spirit, and Lennie, a young man with a mental disease, united by a deep bond, take care of each other. They try to escape the violence of the soldiers of the Institution, the authoritarian government trying to take power.

A film that talks about nature, environment and freedom; which the Bellaria Film Festival dedicates to an audience of 11-14 year olds, activating an awareness-raising relationship through fundamental, essential and current themes of an eco-sociological nature.
